The current law that governs the first use authority of a president regarding the deployment and usage of nuclear weapons is outdated.

There is no room for error or miscalculation when nuclear weapons are involved. It is important that we have critical safeguards in place related to the pre-emptive usage of nuclear weapons.

Urge Republicans to move forward in a bipartisan matter to increase the safeguards on the first use authority of the President.
